1.8-Meter Arm Span, 20kg High Load Palletizing Robot
2024-04-16China, with its population exceeding one billion, is the world's manufacturing hub. The production, transportation, sales, and home delivery of a vast array of industrial goods, consumer products, and pharmaceuticals create immense transportation demands. Given the increasing scarcity of human labor, using palletizing robots is an excellent solution for heavy, repetitive handling tasks.
Background:
The client, a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) distributor, primarily deals with heavy items like bottled water and cooking oil. These products are characterized by their significant weight and low unit price. Facing labor shortages and rising labor costs, the client urgently needs a new solution.
Challenges:
- Cost: Rising labor costs are a reality, especially for physically demanding positions. Additional expenses include rest periods, social insurance, and other comprehensive costs.
- Efficiency: Manual handling efficiency is limited by the number of workers and their physical capacity, making significant efficiency improvements challenging.
- Safety: Manual handling poses inherent safety risks to both the workers and the goods being transported.
Solution:
To address the client's needs, Techrobots customized the TB6-R20 model, featuring a redesigned exterior and structure. This robot boasts an arm span of up to 1.8 meters and an effective load capacity exceeding 20 kg, with a maximum handling capacity of 30 kg. It is well-suited for transporting heavy items like cases of bottled water and cooking oil. Additionally, a custom elevating platform with a baseline height of 1 meter was developed to address pallet stacking height issues. When elevated, the robot arm can reach a height of 2 meters, significantly expanding the operational workspace and efficiently handling items in high shelf areas.
Note: The TB6-R20 robotic arm utilizes Techrobots' self-developed integrated joint module, the RJSII series, which features high torque, efficiency, low noise, smooth operation, and excellent stability.
Technical Advantages:
- Efficiency: The Techrobots palletizing robot can achieve a rate of 13 boxes per minute, more than doubling the efficiency of manual labor, saving valuable time in logistics operations.
- Cost: Besides enhancing efficiency and saving time, the reduction in labor costs is significant. The robotic arm can operate continuously for 24 hours.
- Safety: Using a robotic arm eliminates the risks of physical strain and injury associated with manual handling, ensuring the safety of both personnel and goods.
